This last week I failed my goal again, but this time I did a lot more than I did the week before. This last week I exercised 3 times. I know it seems like a small thing but for me it feels huge. I never expected to feel good after failing but this week I did. Sure I didn’t reach my goal, but I am one step closer. All I need to do is keep moving forward and trying to do a little better every week. This is a process, in which I am trying to change my life for the better.
After having only exercised three times during the week I felt the odds of me losing any weight was extremely slim. I was wrong. I lost two pounds. I was so excited when I saw that. Sure it’s a tiny amount compared to my goal but that is two pounds less I have to lose now. Not only that but I lost two pounds not because I just stopped eating or I started a fad diet. No, I lost two pounds by working to lose them through exercise. To me that is a pretty exciting start. I am in no way remotely close to my goal but I saw my efforts pay off if only in a small way.
Seeing this happen has encouraged me to see what might happen if I can follow through this week and exercise every day except Sunday. I realize I may still have the same problem this week as I had last week, but I’m curious to know just how much a difference exercising every day will make. I want to make myself better for the future, and to do that I have to start with small things now. I will not give up. I will keep moving forward. And I will reach my goal.
