I grade each book on three concepts: Romance, Violence, and Swearing. (The grading is done from my perspective, so if you have concerns, make sure to double-check for yourself.) At the top of each review will be an image with the books assigned grades. For example,
Below is a breakdown of what I mean by each grade.
A- All Ages Content
- Has no or hints of romance but no kissing
- Violence rare (5 or less major fight scenes in the book) and not graphic
- No swear words
B- Barely Teens Content
- Some romance/dating/kissing
- Violence present (more than 3 fight scenes in the book) but not graphic
- A few minor swear words.
C- Clearly 16 Content
- Romance plays a heavy role in the story (may be implications that characters think of sex, but no acting on it or direct, in-depth discussions on it)
- Violence detailed in nature
- Potential for more serious swear words
D- Dangerously Close to Adult Content
- Sex heavily implied between characters or even stated as done but no description of the physical acts past kissing and lying in bed together
- Violence incredibly detailed in nature
- Swear words present
F- For Adults only Content
- Sex described in detail
- Violence is gratuitous in nature
- Swear words are common and extreme
