I grade each book on three concepts: Romance, Violence, and Swearing.  (The grading is done from my perspective, so if you have concerns, make sure to double-check for yourself.) At the top of each review will be an image with the books assigned grades. For example,

Below is a breakdown of what I mean by each grade.

A- All Ages Content

  • Has no or hints of romance but no kissing
  • Violence rare (5 or less major fight scenes in the book) and not graphic
  • No swear words

B- Barely Teens Content

  • Some romance/dating/kissing
  • Violence present (more than 3 fight scenes in the book) but not graphic
  • A few minor swear words.

C- Clearly 16 Content

  • Romance plays a heavy role in the story (may be implications that characters think of sex, but no acting on it or direct, in-depth discussions on it)
  • Violence detailed in nature
  • Potential for more serious swear words

D- Dangerously Close to Adult Content

  • Sex heavily implied between characters or even stated as done but no description of the physical acts past kissing and lying in bed together
  • Violence incredibly detailed in nature
  • Swear words present

F- For Adults only Content

  • Sex described in detail
  • Violence is gratuitous in nature
  • Swear words are common and extreme
