Walter the White Crayon

9 years ago I was tasked with creating something with a crayon. Since I cannot draw to save my life, I decided to write a story. Inspired by my niece’s love of drawing, Walter was born. Walter spends many years feeling useless until one day a little girl shows him just how useful he is.
It took nine years but Walter is now published and available for purchase. I hope you all come to love him as I do.

    Gathering Blue by Lois Lowry

I swear Lois Lowry is going to kill me with these cliffhangers. Gathering Blue has an even worse cliffhanger than The Giver did. If this series needed more books written, I’d go insane waiting. In this story, Kendra and Seth once again have to help their grandparents at Fablehaven, a magical creatures nature preserve. They have to find and remove an ancient artifact to a new preserve because the Evening Star organization has compromised Fablehaven.

Lady Terra and the Farm Boy: Part One

“Lady Terra! Lady Terra!” shouted Millie as she ran up to her. “Look what Momma just gave me.” She extended her hands displaying the potted plant she clutched between them. Her eyes shined as she smiled up at Lady Terra. “It’s my very first plant. Momma said it was all my responsibility.” “Wow, that is…
